Working Principle:
When the raw water passes through the filter material from top to bottom, the suspended solids are intercepted by the surface of the filter layer through adsorption and mechanical flow resistance. As the water flows into the middle of the filter layer, the tighter arrangement of sand particles allows for increased collisions between particles in the water and sand particles. This leads to the adhesion of flocs, suspended solids, and sand particles, effectively trapping impurities in the filter material layer and producing clear water. The filtered effluent has suspended solids below 5 milligrams per liter.
