Multi-Media Filter

The Multi-Media Filter, developed by Kamo Technology (Shandong) Co., Ltd, is a highly efficient water treatment solution that effectively removes suspended impurities and clarifies water. By using one or several filter media, such as quartz sand, Anthracite, and manganese sand, this filter is ideal for turbidity removal, softening water, and pre-treatment of pure water, achieving an effluent turbidity level below 3 degrees.

Working Principle

In the Multi-Media Filter, raw water passes through the filter material from top to bottom. The surface of the filter layer intercepts suspended solids through adsorption and mechanical flow resistance. As water flows into the middle of the filter layer, the tighter arrangement of sand particles allows for more collisions with particles in the water. This leads to the adherence of flocs, suspended solids, and sand particles, trapping impurities and resulting in clear water quality. The filtered effluent has suspended solids below 5 milligrams per liter.
