Working Principle:

When the raw water passes through the filter material from top to bottom, suspended solids are intercepted on the surface of the filter layer due to adsorption and mechanical flow resistance. As the water flows into the middle of the filter layer, the tighter arrangement of sand particles allows for increased collision between particles, flocs, suspended solids, and sand particles. This leads to the trapping of impurities in the filter material layer, resulting in clear water quality. The filtered effluent has suspended solids below 5 milligrams per liter.
