The multi-media filter by Kamo Technology (Shandong) Co., Ltd is a highly efficient water treatment solution that effectively removes suspended impurities and clarifies water. It utilizes one or several filter media, such as quartz sand, Anthracite, and manganese sand, to pass water with high turbidity through granular or non-granular materials under pressure. With a thickness and pressure that can be adjusted, this filter achieves an impressive effluent turbidity of below 3 degrees.

Working Principle

As the raw water passes through the filter material from top to bottom, the suspended solids are intercepted by the surface of the filter layer through adsorption and mechanical flow resistance. When the water flows into the middle of the filter layer, the tighter arrangement of sand particles allows for more collisions between particles in the water and sand particles. This leads to the adherence of flocs, suspended solids, and sand particles, trapping impurities in the filter material layer and resulting in clear water quality. The filtered effluent has suspended solids below 5 milligrams per liter.
