It utilizes one or several filter media, such as quartz sand, Anthracite, and manganese sand, to effectively reduce turbidity and provide high-quality water.
When the raw water passes through the filter material from top to bottom, the suspended solids are intercepted by the surface of the filter layer through adsorption and mechanical flow resistance. As the water flows into the middle of the filter layer, the tighter arrangement of sand particles allows for more collisions with particles in the water. This leads to the adherence of flocs, suspended solids, and sand particles, effectively trapping impurities and resulting in clear water quality. The filtered effluent can have suspended solids below 5 milligrams per liter.
